happymanhappyclan.com — Reported from the media site ahotelinitaly.com<\/a>, Rick Buckler, previous drummer in The Jam, has passed away at the age of 69, his ex-bandmates have verified on social media.<\/p>\n

The Jam increased to popularity in the punk and new wave era of the late 1970s and are attributed with motivating a resurgence in mod style and songs.<\/p>\n

The band were led by vocalist and guitar player Paul Weller, that posted on X that he was “shocked and distressed” by Buckler’s fatality.<\/p>\n

Bass gamer Bruce Foxton said he was “ravaged”.<\/p>\n

In a declaration, his family explained him as a “loving hubby, dad and grandfather” that was “dedicated to many” and will be “greatly missed out on”.<\/p>\n

The declaration included that he had “died quietly on Monday night in Woking after a brief disease with family by his side”.<\/p>\n

The Jam had 18 successive UK top 40 songs from their launching hit in 1977 to their split in December 1982.<\/p>\n

Their 4 top strikes consisted of Going Below ground and A Community Called Malevolence.<\/p>\n

Buckler and Foxton later on played with each other in a follower band, From the Jam, while Weller continued his profession with the Design Council and as a solo musician.<\/p>\n

Buckler had recently been forced to terminate a spoken-word tour of UK venues because of health issue.<\/p>\n

“I’m shocked and distressed by Rick’s passing,” Weller said on X.<\/p>\n

“I’m thinking back to all of us practicing in my bedroom in Stanley Roadway, Woking. To all the bars and clubs we played at as kids, to eventually production a document. What a trip!”<\/p>\n

Foxton said: “I was shocked and ravaged to listen to the very unfortunate information today. Rick was a hero and a great drummer whose innovative drum patterns assisted form our tunes.<\/p>\n

“I’m happy we had the chance to collaborate as long as we did. My ideas are with Leslie and his family at this very challenging time.”<\/p>\n

The lead vocalist of ska team The Bodysnatchers, which gained appeal about the same time as The Jam, also paid homage.<\/p>\n

“A band is just just comparable to its drummer,” said Rhoda Dakar. “So I would certainly say he was a bloody great one.<\/p>\n

“My sincere condolences to his friends and family. Do not waste a day individuals – tomorrow isn’t guaranteed.”<\/p>\n
